Motvik WWIGO or Webcam Wherever I GO ( read as ‘vigo’) is a software which turns your mobile camera into a wireless webcam. If you have a laptop/pc with Bluetooth , and a Nokia Symbian Mobile , thats all you need for running this application. And yea, its a Freeware!. It comes in 2 parts, a PC application and a .sis Symbian application. You have to run both simultaneously for using it as a webcam. The webcam will be listed as a usual webcam in all applications which uses a webcam. You can use it in Yahoo Messenger,Skype, Windows Live Messenger or Youtube.

To get this application , you have to register at Motvik. Then download the appropriate software version depending upon your mobile from the list shown in the WWIGO Download page. Install the application in your computer, which upon completion shows a dialog for transferring the .sis file to the mobile phone via bluetooth.

Select “Transfer Mobile Application to Phone” and close.It will present you a wizard for sending file via bluetooth.

Turn on bluetooth in mobile and pc and transfer the file using this wizard.Or if you want , you can skip this step and later manually transfer the “wwigoMobileApp.sisx” file to the mobilephone. This file will be present inside Programfiles>wwigo>wwigoMobileApp.sisx.

Install the mobile application like any other symbian application. To use as a mobile webcam, run wwigo application in Mobile as well as the computer.

Set the necessary settings like size, camera(camera0 is the main camera and camera1 is the front camera in the case of 3G phones),brightness ,etc in the mobile.

Also in the Computer Application , click the “wwigo video” tab to activate the search mode. Now click Connect in mobile and search and select the computer/laptop name.

Now? Thats it!! Wait a few seconds and you will see the video in your pc as well as mobile screen. If you opted for higher resoution, the video will be of low fps because of bandwidth limitation of bluetooth.

To use in any pc application like Yahoo Messenger as a webcam, select wwigo as camera source in the settings (Preferences > Webcam > Camera Source in Yahoo).
