Flickr is a great tool for showing off your photography. Even though it’s an awesome engineering piece , there are something which it still misses. But if you are on Firefox, you can use Greasemonkey with tons of scripts specially designed for Flickr to further enhance your Flickring experience. Here some of the best scripts that can be used with Greasemonkey in Flickr.
This greasemonkey script removes the need to go from pages to pages in Flickr by automatically expanding the display when you scroll.

This greasemonkey script makes small changes to the interface removing the need for you to click on the pagination number and wait for loading times every time you go to the next/previous page.
When you browse paginated pages on flickr*, the script will fetch the next page and append it automatically at the end of the current page while you scroll down.
Flickr Buddy Icon Reply v 3.1 :
It adds (reply with name, icon, icon&name) links at each of the comments under your photo.
Reply option links on postings
When you click on the link, the buddy icon html code will be added into the Add your comment box, where you can show nicely who your replies are directed at. Experiment with preview and you will get the hang of formatting your replies in no time. (Should work on photo and discussion thread pages).
comment posted using User Icon
It skips over deleted accounts and only offers the name link if the contact has no personalized buddy icon.
Auto comment the place where you come from.This will help you leave a trail of where you found the photo you are commenting on.
Referal link code appears automatically in comment text box
Referal code after posting
Auto fill the comment field on a photo to include a little note saying where you found the photo with a link back to it:
* in a group page,
* in a set,
* on the web,
* etc
It is also available as a bookmarklet (see the script homepage)
Hover over a photo on Flickr to get an unobtrusive translucent overlay in the top left corner showing meta data including camera model, aperture and shutter speed.It also has a link to the Flickr version of Exif Details.This one is a neat and useful script.
Exif Details appears when hovering over with mouse.
When you toggle the magnifier on, you have a small rectangular magnifier on the medium sized image to look at the details. If you click and drag upward, it will zoom in, if you click and drag downward, it will zoom out.
S from Sony in zoomed position
The zoom uses the original or large version of the image, if available (if not, then the magnifier button doesnt show) to build the magnifier. You can choose which image you want to use by going into the greasemonkey scripts menu. If you choose the lower resolution (large), then the magnifier will load faster but will be a bit pixelized.
Adds links to different sizes directly to a Flickr photo page, generates html code to easily copy and paste thumbnail & description, and automatically loads your 20 most used tags when you click Add Tag. This script does many things, and is the result of much feedback and discussion with the great Flickr Hacks community.
QuickLink box for easily copying Link
- Shortcuts to Direct Links
The script adds direct links to all of an images sizes, as well as a Quick Link box to quickly copy and paste the HTML for a thumbnail link. It also automatically loads your most used tags whenever you click to add a tag to an image.
Recently used Tags shows up near Tag box
This adds html tools to various text areas on Flickr: any static text area like comment boxes, and it specifically targets the in situ photo description editors on individual photo page and your photostream!
Adding Links via Rich Text Edit
Blockquote works in a collection description, so youll see that option when editing one.
One of my favourite script. It overrides the flickr Send to Group button above your photo/video and lets you send your Flickr image or video to multiple groups simultaneously.
Multi Groups Sender Option
To use all these scripts, you need to have GreaseMonkey and Firefox installed.
