At last I got invitations in my Google Wave account. I have two Google Wave accounts and both of them received a wave with 20 invites each by today evening. (26/10/09 IST). Of the first account, I decided to give all the 20 invites o my friends and Twitter friends. A tweet on that filled my DM in twitter with around 200 direct messages in less than 10 minutes. Invites were given to first 10 direct messages with a valid email id in it. Remaining 10 were given to my friends and colleagues.
An hour later, I got invitations in my second google wave account. I have two more google ids, and hence first two invites from this account went to my own email ids. 
And as every other blogger with invites do, I am giving away it to lucky 10 comments to this post.To make it more open and clear, this is how I am going to select the lucky 10.
- Comment must be genuine. Means no “I want !!”
- Comment should have a reason why you need google wave. I know its a stupid criteria! Everyone should love to try one. But be creative here. Tell me an interesting reason for which you are madly trying to get Google Wave Invite.
- Comment ‘body’ should not contain a link (except the twitter/ tweet link which is the next point ) or email ID.
- Special weight-age will be given to tweeters if they tweet “ RT @srijithv Get Free Google Wave Invites for lucky 10 comments in http://techylife.com/get-free-google-wave-invites ”
- and include their twitter user name / tweet link along with the comment. Sure, I love free publicity!!
- Email to which you want the invitation to be send must be filled in the “email” field in comment form. Not on the comment text.

Above all, if you can create and send me a beautiful logo/banner for this site you will be considered as a sure invitee! 
See how ugly my current logo is. Please stick to the site color schemes if you are designing one for me. I don’t want to change the site theme for a logo.

I Love to see new and emerging techonogy especially within the web industry so its a very exciting trend for me, would be amazing to get deep into Wave as soon as possible, as i see this expanding a lot.

Would really like an invite so I can see how well it works in Linux as well as on Mac/Windows. Also, I’d like to be able to give a few invites away to students at the college I work at.
I would love a Google Wave invite for several reasons but the most important is probably that I am currently studying to be a school library media specialist, and a huge component of that is being able to teach kids about all kinds of new technology. A Google Wave invite would allow me to become familiar with Google Wave and also give me the opportunity to share this knowledge and experience with students of all ages.

Google WAVE seems to be a pretty impressive new communications mean. I’ve been looking to offer out some of my Google Voice invites for trade. If you have the available nominations, this means I would be able to give out these invites without requiring others to send me anything in return.
As you can see from my blog, I’m big on returning favors back to the community as I’ve received much assistance for free in the past. It’s great to see you are doing the same. If I were a half decent designer, I’d help you out with your logo, but you might as well have a logo that only includes ascii chars, haha.
You definately deserve some twitter credit, so keep an eye out for one from shaunole. Good Luck with the site logo!!

I’d like a google wave account for two reasons. One, my wife. She is a teacher and loves to use tech in her classroom. She thinks googlewave will be an excellent way to communicate and experiment with others with the same idea. The second reason is that I’m a web-programmer for my school. I’d like to have the access so I could show it to my colleagues and get them on it to see what we can do with it.

Would love an invite because i am an consultant at the company where I work. We are investigating the possibilities of Microsoft Office Communicator and the full office suite. Google Wave is a technology that could completely change the way people think about internet communication as well as corporate communication. This is a very interesting development for me.

First, I’d like to thank you for not being a selfish hog and trying to sell your invites on Ebay. I know that you cannot anyway, but I felt that you need to be thanked.
Second, as a webmaster and social networker, I could really use the G-Wave to interconnect the people involved in changes both inside and outside the different non-profits for which I am part. Warmer Winters is my biggest group with over 100 volunteers and a board of directors that needs help on their communicating. If I could give them just a sliver of that I think it would help in our mission statement: bringing the community together and gifting hand-knit warmth to those in need. This all might seem very convenient for me to speak about in light of the fact I am asking for something and you desired an explanation. Pat Lyddy, it is really only envious hogs who would have a problem with free enterprise in commodity trading and commerce. Considering that sales on ebay and elsewhere are consensual for each party involved, it’s disingenuous to claim selfishness for either. Though instead, perhaps the better case is made that such a transaction instigates a selfishness within those people egotistical enough to believe in a right not to be made jealous by the free actions of (admittedly more fortunate) others.
To be frank, the reason y i need wave invite is,
1. I heard that we can see the messages while the person at other end type it…(So no cheating possible, i can catch ‘em before they make a 2nd thought)
2.Very few of my friends have got it…so I would love to get it soooon..
3.I can also post a blog entry on this and earn free publicity..
If you find these are valid reasons for sending me an invite,then please do send one.

Ah. Google Wave. Sorta like the mexican wave- a few guys start it, but it spreads like wildfire.So why do i want an invite, you ask? Firstly, I live in an area that got blasted by that tsunami (right opp the beach), so I have quite a bit of experience with waves. I write for nxg as well, so I’d be happy to include your name, link to your website and stuff in my next article if i do get a google wave id, because that’s what im working on right now. That’s about it. Awesome publicity in a majhor newspaper for you, wave id for me? nice? =)
